The Workshop

Our wood workshop in Mens :

Our carpentry workshop is located on the edge of the village of Mens, a charming commune in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, in the Isère department. Just 56 km from Grenoble, or about an hour’s drive, our workshop is nestled in the splendid natural region of Trièves, renowned for its natural beauty and outdoor activities.
 

The workshop has a surface area of ​​70m2 and is equipped with stationary machines and portable power tools necessary to carry out carpentry projects. The workshop also has a kitchen and a bathroom. The building is located on a large plot of 2300 m², 10 minutes walk from the village center.

Coming to the workshop

  • Bus: The Itinisère T95 bus, to be taken at the Vallier-Libération stop in Grenoble to go to the Beaumet stop at the bottom of Mens. This stop is only a 5-minute walk from the workshop. The journey time is on average one hour and twenty minutes.
  • Train: Take the train (TER) from Grenoble station to Clelles station, the journey will take one hour. At Clelles station, you have two options: either we come and pick you up by car, or you have your bike and are independent. However, note that the journey by bike takes about 1 hour, while the car only takes 20 minutes.
  • Car : Finally, the fastest way is by car, with a one-hour journey from Grenoble. Note that the association has a vehicle and that it is possible to take you in a carpool if we have space left.

Accomodation

  • It is possible to rent a cottage not far from the workshop.
  • For those who like camping, it is possible to pitch their tent at the Mens campsite (https://www.camping-prerolland.fr/fr/) located ten minutes walk from the workshop.

  • Visit the village and its museum.
